education

With a focus on educating young children, especially girls, we started our education programme in 2011, with a Montessori course for the young girls and a non-formal course for those who had already passed the school going age.

health & hygiene

It was observed that a lot of our students were falling sick on a regular basis. As a result, our education programme witnessed a poor performance. We started the Health & Hygiene programme, with an aim to address and arrest the issue of malnutrition among our children.

vocational training

Owing to extreme poverty, a number of girls and young women in Topsia and Tiljala have missed out on education and employment opportunities. The aim of our Vocational Training programme is to bridge that gap.

community outreach

To ensure a trickle-down effect of the programmes at EkTara, we started a community outreach programme with our students at the helm, to raise awareness on the importance of education, health and hygiene.
